The Manitoba Used Car Dealers Association was founded in 1991, by a small but dedicated group of car dealers who were concerned about the future of their industry in Manitoba. It was not until recently that the association really came of age. In 1996 the spark was rekindled in that the Association was being asked for input into the "Dealer Licensing Standards review Committee" (Government of Manitoba, Highways and Transportation) This was a task force brought together by the Provincial government to review the way dealers were licensed in Manitoba. This was the springboard that really got the association started. All levels of government consider the Association as "the voice" for used car dealers in the province and are constantly asked for their input.
