To improve the automotive industry in Manitoba for the benefit of the province's consumers and dealers by identifying relevant public policy issues impacting the industry and actively participating in the decision-making process to promote sound and fair policy for both parties.
OUR CODE OF ETHICS
The Manitoba Used Car Dealers Association strives to promote the highest standards of excellence in the used car industry. As an association of registered used car dealers, our members are committed to adhering to a code of ethics that reflects their own high standard of service to the public and the industry - this integrity is often what sets them apart!
ASSOCIATION PROFILE
The Manitoba Used Car Dealers Association was founded in 1991 with the purpose of representing the interests of independent used car dealers in Manitoba.
The Manitoba UCDA is proud to include dealers of all sizes and from all regions of the province in its membership. The Association’s strength lies in the commitment and dedication of these individual members.
As the province’s only professional trade association for used car dealers, the Manitoba UCDA is committed to challenging legislation that negatively impacts the used car industry and its members. By keeping in regular contact with the many government departments that affect and regulate the industry, the Association has been able to leverage the collective strength of its membership to effectively advocate for their interests. Over the years, the Manitoba UCDA has become recognised as the official voice of used car dealers across the province with an established record of accomplishment and fair dealing.
Liaison and coalitions with other automotive industry groups is an important activity in helping to ensure that the interests of the entire industry are advanced. The Manitoba UCDA participates with ARM, ATA, CAA, MCTRA, MVIM, UCDA Ontario, MMDA, and others in joint approaches to both the Federal and Provincial governments. Issues have included GST, Dealer Regulations, Vehicle Safety Standards, curb-sider studies, Dealer Licensing Standards Review Committee and many others.
The Association is governed by active dealer members, ensuring that its policies and activities align with the needs and concerns of its members. To keep members informed and up to date on industry news and developments, the Association provides newsletters and bulletins that cover important news and information related to the automobile industry.
ASSOCIATION STRUCTURE
The day to day administration of the Association is performed by the Executive Director who reports to the Board of Directors. This board is made up of up to 10 active member dealers who volunteer their time to meet bi-monthly as well as participate on one or more committees to actively pursue the Association's goals. Committees include: Management and Audit, Membership, Member Services, Nominating, Publication, Special Events.

At the Manitoba Used Car Dealers Association, our Goals & Objectives are at the core of everything we do. They serve as the foundation of our strategic vision and are evident in our daily actions.
To improve the automobile industry in Manitoba for the benefit of the province's consumers and dealers by identifying relevant public policy issues impacting the industry and actively participation in the decision-making process to promote sound and fair policy for both parties. To encourage free enterprise and unselfish service to the public and to the industry. To create and maintain a positive public image of our industry - at local, regional, and provincial levels. To proudly serve members as the sole trade association representing independent used car dealers in Manitoba. To maintain open lines of communication with all levels of government and industry adjacent agencies.
